Welcome

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest Section of the MAA’s website. As of June 2009, I am still working on converting everything into the new format. However, most of the information from the old site has been posted at this point.

Site Layout

Events: In the Events section, you can find an online calendar of recent and upcoming events. There is also a form to submit new events. The calendar features an RSS feed if you prefer to get your information in that format.
Meeting: Much of the section’s activities center around the annual meeting. Information about upcoming and past meetings can be found on these pages. I am trying to make past meeting homepages and programs available in pdf format. If you have electronic or hard copy versions of these items, please send them my way and I will try to get them posted.
History: I am collecting as much historical information about the section as possible on these pages. Currently, I have a historical narrative, an archive of old newsletters and pages where you can search for past award recipients and officers of the section.
Section: This section of the site refers to the administration of the section. You can find the current by-laws and officers of the section here. This is also where any guidelines or advising documents are placed.

Bookmarks

This site has three addresses.

www.maa.org/pnw/: should always be valid (irrelevant of who the webmaster is). This is the address that should be provided on distributed material since it will not change.
www.monsterworks.com/pnw/: will be valid as long as Aaron Montgomery is webmaster, it loads a little quicker, but will change with a change in webmaster.
pc88092.math.cwu.edu/pnw/: will load the fastest but is only valid until I get a new server (which happens every few years).

Personally, I would bookmark the cwu.edu address since it will load faster (fewer redirects), and try the maa.org address if you start receiving “Page Not Found” errors.
